Tokunbo

The design was created for the Tokunbo’s second solo album. As an artist, Tokunbo is known as the former frontwoman for soul band Tok Tok Tok and as a winner of five German Jazz Awards. Her musical aesthetic is a blend of folk, soul, lo-fi pop and jazz.

The chosen typography was inspired by the tonality of her songs and, with its elegance and fragility, refers to the title of the album, “The Swan.” The design was adapted for the CD Digipak, the accompanying booklet and the CD labels as well as all materials for the vinyl version of the album.
