Since 2013, the German government, its provinces and the evangelical church of Germany have been working together to create a special program meant to highlight the 2017 jubilee of the Reformation.
In 2013, the theme of the program was ›Reformation and Tolerance.‹ The 2014 event fell under the overall theme of the Luther Decade – namely ›Reformation: Image and Bible‹ – and explored the influence of the Reformation on art and culture. The 2015 event was dedicated to the year’s overarching theme, namely ›Luther and the One World.‹
